History Integrity Health Network is an exciting evolution of what was originally called CareNorth Health System. CareNorth was founded in 1998 as a virtual care system in response to a large group of self insured employers who were a part of the Buyers Health Care Action Group who distributed a request for bids for a new model of care called a “care system.”
It was to include hospital(s), primary and specialty care clinics under one provider number. At inception, CareNorth was a partnership of Northstar Physicians Network, Northland Medical Associates, and St. Luke's Hospital and Clinics. In 2009, after eliminating our hospital partner from CareNorth, the entire mission, vision and values of CareNorth were reviewed and an entirely new organization was created out of a merger of the two remaining partners (Northstar and Northland) – and Integrity Health Network was born. The name “Integrity” came out of a listing of values the combined physicians listed out – it’s a bold statement of how we operate and how we provide our care.With the new organization came a new mission and vision statement, and new goals that included a renewed desire to collaborate with other entities – employers, health insurers as well as a strong commitment to providing care where the patient is best served – and that means expanding our physician outreach and partnering with community hospitals in the regions we serve in Northern Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota.
