The Strength of Independents
You may ask yourself (as
we have time and again) how does a group of
independently owned or operated clinics and an
independent hospital
work together so successfully in an era of
corporate acquisitions, buyouts, mergers and
top-down management run organizations?

The answer is we work together. We share ideas
and goals for improving care. Perhaps most
importantly, the tie that binds us together is our
shared belief that the patient is the center of
our care and the reason for our existence. Our
many quality initiatives come from active
research. They are driven by our physicians,
clinicians and the staff of our clinics and
hospital. Care improvement, and in fact, the
overall direction of our organization comes from
the active involvement of our doctors. We have
clinics that are owned by our hospital and we have
clinics that are owned by their physicians. The
ownership itself doesn't matter - attitude does.
We believe that we can make things better than
when we started.
When you visit a CareNorth clinic, you
won't see our name in capital letters on the door.
What you will see is the name of the clinic and
its physicians and providers. They're the reason
you went to that clinic, right? What you'll feel
is the difference their active involvement makes.
CareNorth's role is to enhance the programs
and services our clinics offer. We've found we
can accomplish more to improve patient's care
through the involvement of our members, and
listening to the suggestions of our patients (and
their families), than we could by trying to
dictate. From the boardroom to the exam room, our
patients come first.
